E3 2006 Preview

The largest video game event of the year, the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), is just around the corner! Starting next week, thousands of industry professionals will be jam packed into the Los Angeles Convention center showcasing what is to come in gaming.

There will be loads of new game announcements, truck loads of new game screenshots and trailers, and many demo stations featuring early builds of games to come.

Playstation Core will be attending E3 2006 all next week and will be bringing you the news as it happens. Next week you will find: hands-on previews, new game announcements, trailers, screenshots, and more. Our news section will be loaded to the gills with all the new announcements and media. However, we are making things easy and we will feature an overview each E3 day. These E3 features, starting with this preview and all next week, will give you the big news and quick looks at what is going on. From there, users can dig deeper into our news, previews, and media sections.

Here is a quick look at next week's madness:

Major Gaming Titles:

Killzone 2 (PS3)
Killzone 2 had a huge showing last year with their teaser trailer for the game. Since the trailer was pre-rendered and not actual gameplay, there was quite a bit of controversy over this title. This year at E3

Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)
Metal Gear Solid has always been a hit on the Playstation and it doesn't look like this will be changing anytime soon!

Vision Gran Turismo (PS3)
Sony's number one racing series will be speeding onto the Playstation 3. Expect to see much more about this title from E3.

Unreal Tournament 2007 (PS3)
Epic's newest addition to the Unreal series. Unreal Tournament 2007 is being built from the ground up using the brand new Unreal Engine 3.0.

God of War 2 (PS2)
Recentely announced at the Game Developers Conference this year, God of War 2 is looking phase out the Playstation 2 with a bang.

Other titles sizing up to have impressive showings next week:

Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway
Call of Duty 3
Full Auto 2

MotorStorm
Resistance: Fall of Man
Warhawk

Sony's E3 Press Conference will be on Monday night and we will be sure to bring you the latest coverage from this conference.

This is just a glimpse of what is to come! Be sure to keep checking up with PlaystationCore.com often everyday all next week. Keep a close eye on our news, media, and previews section for the latest, as it happens.
